‘Soul Of Albion’ is the huge new track from Man The Lifeboats, and the title track of their new album. “For a few years I'd been trying to write a song with a reggae beat and we played it over and over in band rehearsals,” they say. “At around the same time, a good friend of ours was on his own mission, searching for the 'Soul Of Albion'. With permission, of course, I nicked his idea and used it shamelessly as a song and album title.” The track, with the help of the piano that Oasis recorded ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ on, morphed into the beautiful ballad that the track ended up becoming. The band are hosting a launch party for Soul Of Albion on board Sir Francis Drake’s Galleon on Friday 14th October, 2022, and are touring the UK this November. -Dan Peeke.
